Summer of Joy
Summer of Joy is a collaboration between myself and Writer, Britta Lafont. We are all about encouraging women to abide in the harvest of joy through Christ even when days seem long or tough. This project is about allowing the power of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you, to be at work and direct your thoughts and emotions towards joy. It is about reminding yourself that even though you may be older life can still be simple and filled to the brim with JOY!
These resources are here to support you on your quest towards a Summer of Joy!
1. Action Idea and Bible Reading Bookmarks
Each week there will be suggested action ideas to spur joy. These ideas are connected to your daily scripture readings. No need to do all of them but pick one or two each week that jump off the page for you!
2. Spotify Summer of Joy Playlist
Music! It plays a key role in how my family has a successful day. We sing worship songs over breakfast, we listen to stories in the car, we play silly music while we clean up, and I listen to my favorites while I cook dinner. It is vital for me. I encourage you to invite joy into your day through music with our Summer of Joy playlist. You can follow it here or add it to your Spotify. Spotify is a free download for your computer or phone so grab it today if you don’t already have it.
Download the printable memory verses on joy. Cut them out and place them around place you frequent like your bathroom mirror, microwave door, and steering wheel. Take pictures of your verse posted and tag #summerofjoy
