Go, go, go! Oh…..and go some more!
That tends to be the theme of this month, right?

Go to the store. Shoot! Forgot something. Going back to the store.
Go to this party and that party and don’t forget that party!
Go too fast trying to get everything done that there isn’t a moment to sit down and enjoy it.

I am never a fan of that rushing about feeling but especially during a season in which I want to be intentionally preparing my heart and mind for the arrival or coming of Jesus. The word COME has been etched into my mind for more than a month now…it won’t let me go. I want to spend this month of Advent really examining the ways in which God comes to us but also how we are encouraged to come towards God. Because of my interest in a single focus I am shifting Pin God 1st for this month to one verse, Matthew 11:28-30.

“If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest. Take the yoke I give you. Put it on your shoulders and learn from me. I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest. This yoke is easy to bear, and this burden is light.”

It is a verse that we know but I don’t think we take seriously. I want to take it seriously and trust it as truth. How about you?
